Oh yeah. Films I Watched On The Plane recap from yesterday:
– 28 Years Later was fine but kinda forgettable? I liked the whole “bone temple” bit and the themes of family and death, and I guess this is kind of what I would call a “cosy horror”? Which I do like. So nice, but not revolutionary.
– Bring Her Back I loved. Brutal and tense and Australian, with just a sprinkle of creepypasta. Definite recommend if you Like That Kind of Thing, and hard avoid if you do not.
– Tokyo Godfather I admit I fell asleep for a bit in the second quarter of this, through no fault of the film, but as someone who hates Christmas, this is probably my new favourite Christmas film? (Caveat: It portrays its trans characters in a way that’s sympathetic but might still be not for everyone. So.)
