Gina Trapani provides very down to earth point of view on the AI and all the caveats that this technology brings with it in her recent post. I am pretty much aligned with her on this - no AI doomer, no AI hype beast, rather AI skeptic understanding the capabilities and downsides of the AI tools.
This quote from her article sums it up perfectly:
Keep a very tight leash on this new over-eager junior intern savant with encyclopedic knowledge but who also bullshits you all the time, has an over-abundance of courage and shows little to no taste for what’s good. Keep an emphasis on being slow, defensive, careful, paranoid, and on always taking the inline learning opportunity, not delegating.

While some things are useful, the technology falls short and is forcefully pushed into areas where it should not really be used, or its usage is quite limiting, in some cases actually working against the user.
