Cheap Casio wristwatch
I picked up a 10 euro Casio watch here in Japan, the A164W. One of the simple living YouTubers I follow has talked about Casio watches and got me interested. I know it’s ironic to complain about the algorithm while buying something it recommended to me. But it lines up with my goal of keeping tech simple.
I like my Apple Watch for waking up with the vibration alarm and tracking workouts, but it also adds complexity and it’s easy to get pulled into things. It also needs daily charging with its own cable, which I don’t want to pack on trips. The Casio solves that with a battery that lasts years.
I’ve been wearing it for the last week and really like it. It tells the time, stays out of the way, and looks good. I’m not sure how I’ll balance Apple Watch and…
