Slowing down the blog to focus on other areas
Lately I’ve felt less motivated to blog. I’m still writing every week because I committed to posting weekly in 2025, but I can tell the energy isn’t the same. In the past I was writing multiple posts a week and always had the next idea ready. Now it feels more like maintenance.
I’ve actually enjoyed the slower pace of autumn. But I keep thinking about how easy it is to spread myself too thin. Work automatically eats up time and mental energy. On top of that I’m focusing on the gym and learning Spanish, so it often feels like there isn’t much left.
I strongly believe in slow, incremental change. That’s how to make real progress over time. But going full speed for a short burst is way more rewarding in the moment. If I tracked my…

Lately I’ve felt less motivated to blog. I’m still writing every week because I committed to posting weekly in 2025, but I can tell the energy isn’t the same. In the past I was writing multiple posts a week and always had the next idea ready. Now it feels more like maintenance.
I’ve actually enjoyed the slower pace of autumn. But I keep thinking about how easy it is to spread myself too thin. Work automatically eats up time and mental energy. On top of that I’m focusing on the gym and learning Spanish, so it often feels like there isn’t much left.
I strongly believe in slow, incremental change. That’s how to make real progress over time. But going full speed for a short burst is way more rewarding in the moment. If I tracked my diet strictly and went to the gym five times a week, I’d obviously progress faster than I do now with two or three workouts a week.
Which brings us back to blogging. The blog isn’t my main focus right now, and that’s fine. It’s still here, steadily moving forward in the background. I’d rather keep it alive slowly than burn out fast.
