About a year ago, I watched the Black Mirror episode “Plaything” (awesome ep. btw). I didn’t think much of it then but it was my introduction to the idea of artificial life.

Obviously, even before then I’d seen the fancy YouTube videos, you know the “I made an ecosystem in Unity!” ones. But again, still nothing.
