What I Built

Fortify is a comprehensive security and compliance analysis platform that helps developers identify vulnerabilities, ensure SOC2 compliance, and get actionable recommendations—all powered by AI and modern architecture.

The Problem Security audits are expensive, time-consuming, and often happen too late in the development cycle. Developers need instant feedback on security issues, compliance violations, and best practices while they code.

The Solution Fortify provides real-time security analysis with:

1. 🔍 Vulnerability Detection - Identifies SQL injection, XSS, hardcoded secrets, and 20+ vulnerability types
2. ✅ Compliance Checking - SOC2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 assessment
3. 🤖 AI-Powered Fixes - Groq AI generates contextual code fixes with explanations
4. 📊 Health Scoring - Dynamic security score based on findings
5. 🔗 GitHub Integration - Analyze entire repositories with one URL

How I Used Agentic Postgres

While Fortify is currently deployed as a serverless application on AWS Amplify, it’s architected to leverage Tiger Agentic Postgres for advanced features. Here’s how I integrated and plan to use Tiger’s capabilities:

1. Session Management with Time-Series Analytics I implemented session tracking that’s ready for Tiger’s time-series capabilities:

Overall Experience

1. Groq AI Integration The llama-3.3-70b-versatile model is incredibly fast and accurate. Security analysis that would take minutes with other models completes in 3-8 seconds.
2. Serverless Architecture AWS Amplify’s serverless deployment made scaling effortless. The app handles concurrent analyses without manual infrastructure management.
3. GitHub Integration Parallel file fetching (5 files at a time) optimized for Lambda’s 30-second timeout. Analyzing entire repositories became practical.
4. Real-time Progress Session-based architecture with polling provides smooth UX. Users see exactly what’s happening during analysis.

What Surprised Me 🤯

1. AI Parsing Reliability Initially struggled with inconsistent JSON responses from AI. Solution: Strict prompts with examples and fallback parsing improved reliability to 95%+.
2. Lambda Timeout Constraints AWS Lambda’s 30-second limit required optimization. Reduced GitHub fetch from 50 to 20 files and implemented parallel batching.
3. Health Score Impact Users love the visual health score! It gamifies security, making developers more engaged with fixing issues.

Tiger Agentic Postgres - Future Integration

While I built Fortify’s core features first, the architecture is Tiger-ready: Planned Tiger Features:
