Q: How do face sharing codes work?
A: Once you have uploaded a character's face, a QR code/share code will be automatically generated. Regardless of if it’s during character creation, future adjustments to the face, or colouring clothes, you will always be able to generate one. You can also choose to share only specific parts. For example, just the clothing dye settings or makeup.
Q: How do weapon skin draws work?
A: Using the umbrella as an example, there is a total of 5 slots. Each slot represents a feature of the weapon. The first slot is the base colour of the umbrella. The Second slot is the face design for the umbrella. The Third slot is the umbrella accessories. The Fourth slot is the underside design of the umbrella. The Fifth slot is the effects, such as glow, mist, fire, ice, etc.
You use a purple stone to enhance the weapon. One enhancement will unlock first slot. Each enhancement after will reroll the colour. You continue enhancing until you unlock the next slot and continue for each additional slot. You can lock any slot at any time to prevent the slot from rerolling. Locking slots increase the cost required to enhance.
You continue enhancing the weapon until you unlock all slots. The fifth slot is a guaranteed gold slot. The more gold slots you have the more fanciful and shiny it is. You can only lock up to 3 slots per enhancement.
Q: Is Where Winds Meet P2W or does it have P2W mechanics? What about the battlepass?
A: No, Where Winds Meet is not P2W. When it comes to the free battlepass it will provide 8 energy pills. While the premium battlepass primarily focused on cosmetics and gives 5 pull tickets. The 4 extra energy pills the premium battlepass offers will only give an extra 1.25 days of energy, an insignificant amount over a 40 or so day season.
Jade is not the primary currency for character progression. It is readily available early in the game via quests, exploration, achievements and other events and activities.
Internal art pieces from vendors are one time purchase. By the time a player unlocks the necessary vendors and internal art skill slots, they will have naturally gathered enough jade to make purchases, without needing to buy currencies,
The treasure coin pre-order bonus provides only minor consumables. Once the black market is unlocked in the second region, players can easily earn between 400,000+ treasure coins weekly by selling items they have crafted to vendors or guilds. Vastly outpacing any minor currency boost provided.
Spending real money will not accelerate character progression, nor will it allow paying players to surpass F2P players in terms of character power. Where Winds Meet's monetization is almost entirely cosmetic items, supplementary pull tickets, and some minor boosts for convenience.
