For the team behind Nixtio, design isn’t just about clean lines or elegant user flows; it’s about community, connection, and the thrill of creating something meaningful from scratch. With team members based in Miami and Valencia and roots in Ukraine, Nixtio has grown into a multidisciplinary powerhouse offering UX/UI design, web and mobile applications, branding, 3D, and creative direction for clients across industries.

And through it all, Dribbble has been at the heart of their journey.

From invite-only dreams to daily publishing

“We discovered Dribbble over 13 years ago,” the team shares. “For us, it became a primary source of design inspiration and a way to learn from the best.”

What started as admiration quickly turned into motivation. Around 2018-2019, Nixtio began publishing their work almost daily, and the consistency paid off. Today, they credit Dribbble with opening the door to global visibility, meaningful client relationships, and creative growth.

“Being active on Dribbble has helped us find collaborators, clients, and even team members. The platform has allowed us to learn from the community and improve through feedback.”

Evolving with Dribbble’s marketplace and projects

For Nixtio, growth hasn’t come from passively waiting for leads to land in their inbox. They’ve made a deliberate effort to try every new feature Dribbble rolls out, from posting shots and case studies to building a robust services pipeline through the Marketplace and Projects tabs.

“In the last year alone, we’ve seen a major increase in relevant clients thanks to the launch of the Marketplace and Dribbble Projects,”

“We’ve listed about 10 different services, and that’s helped us reach clients who are looking for exactly what we offer,” they explain.

As a team that spans industries and disciplines, Nixtio isn’t afraid to keep things broad, intentionally. “We’ve experimented with niching down to focus on dashboards or single categories, but it didn’t feel right,” says co-founder and CEO Bogdan Nikitin. “What sets us apart is flexibility. We can meet the client where they are and still deliver with precision and quality.”

Community-first, in practice and in principle

It’s not just clients that benefit from Nixtio’s presence on Dribbble. The platform has also played a key role in how they mentor emerging designers and give back to the broader creative community. One of the team members, Arsen, is even pursuing a PhD in community management.

“Building a community is hard,” they acknowledge. “But it’s worth it. Dribbble has created a space for the exchange of ideas that you can’t find anywhere else, one where feedback, exposure, and experimentation happen in real time.”

That sense of global connection is baked into everything Nixtio does. Whether it’s collaborating with an international client or responding to a comment on a new post, they treat Dribbble like more than just a portfolio site. It’s a creative home base.

A style rooted in adaptability

When asked how they define their design style, it’s clear Nixtio takes a different stance than most studios.

“We don’t really believe in a ‘signature style,’” they explain.

“Our superpower is adaptability, designing to meet the specific needs of each project while maintaining a high level of detail and execution.”

Still, specific visual motifs show up in their work: thoughtful use of light and shadow, intuitive spatial hierarchy, and a softness in transitions that makes digital interfaces feel more human.

“We’re always thinking about the atmosphere of a project,” they say. “Even in UX-heavy work, we look for ways to bring visual warmth and clarity.”

When critique sparks a comeback

The team’s polished portfolio today might make it easy to forget the bumpy path behind it. But Nixtio is quick to share one of their most formative early experiences, the kind of moment many creatives face, but few talk about.

“When we first started out, we got a freelance project we were really proud of. We sent it off thinking the client would be thrilled. Instead, we got this message: ‘This is total crap. I could’ve done it myself.’”

For a young designer, that kind of critique can be devastating. But for Nixtio, it became fuel.

“It crushed our motivation, but we didn’t quit. We kept going, kept learning, and that moment shaped who we are today.”

Bogdan remembers working on a borrowed laptop in a university dorm, fueled by ambition and late nights. “There were so many times it would’ve been easier to give up. But you just have to keep pushing.”

Turning personal growth into creative momentum

One of the most meaningful projects for the Nixtio team wasn’t for a Fortune 500 brand—it was a task planner app for kids, designed to build healthy habits. What made it special? Several team members had just become parents.

“The project felt personal. It was an opportunity to merge design with our real-life experiences. That emotional connection made the work stronger.”

Consistency over perfection

When it comes to building a brand on Dribbble, Nixtio swears by one thing: consistency.

“You don’t need to wait until something’s perfect to post. Publishing regularly, whether it’s finished shots, behind-the-scenes, or in-process sketches, helps you stay top of mind.”

It also helps build trust. Clients who see a vibrant, active feed know they’re working with a team that’s passionate, transparent, and committed to growth.

Advice for designers: your style is your strength

For emerging designers, Nixtio recommends starting with studio experience. “Working in a structured environment can fast-track your growth in a way solo work often can’t.”

For more seasoned creatives, they offer this reminder: “Style doesn’t have to mean one specific look. It can also mean your approach, your adaptability, your point of view, your process.”

Above all, they encourage staying persistent and engaged. “Just keep showing up. The consistency pays off.”

What’s next: even more transparency

Looking ahead, Nixtio plans to lean into sharing more of their behind-the-scenes process, team culture, workflows, and the thinking that goes into each design decision.

“Dribbble has been a launchpad for so many of our projects. Now we want to show what happens under the hood. The more clients understand our process, the stronger the trust becomes.”

And with a steady pipeline of work, a growing team, and a design presence that spans continents, Nixtio is just getting started.
