Hi! I’m Arsalan Sheikh, a backend engineer with 3+ years of experience building and scaling serverless systems in Python and JavaScript.

- At Airnguru (2024 – 2025): Built asynchronous FastAPI pipelines for BigQuery data processing (92% memory reduction in ETL runs), optimized API responses by 96% using gzip compression, and provisioned isolated customer stacks with CloudFormation and Cognito RBAC.

- At Kore.ai (2023 – 2024): Developed middleware services in FastAPI and ExpressJS for AgentAssist integrations with Salesforce and Genesys, implemented Redis caching, JWT security, and CI/CD deployments for containerized Lambdas.

- Before that (part-time and volunteer): Led backend work for the Office of Career Services at IIT Hyderabad (2021 – 2023) building skill-based filtering and DB cleanup automation tools, and interned with SuperPe and Samsung Research on FastAPI dashboard pipelines and internal CLI tooling.
