It’s been really lovely the past week or so seeing everyone’s end-of-2025 and plans-for-2026 posts.
The Discovery feed is bustling. There have been so many blogs I’ve not seen before. People returning or making their first posts. I’ve added several new blogs to my RSS reader (listed here) as well as entries to the list of Bearblogs about TTRPGs.

Reading all the different ways people review and quantify the past year has been very instructive. The 40 questions series has been fun to see play out but also all the different formats and focusses. It’s interesting to see the subjects that come up again and again (books, games, music, films, etc) to pick through looking for recommendations but also in the sense of what people care about.
Even though 2025 has been tough for so many people there’s so much hope and joy in the resolutions and plans for 2026. I hope everyone’s 2026s go well and we all achieve the things we set out to. Then we get to do this all over again.
