First, think of high-impact repetitive tasks that take up a lot of time. They’re ideal for automating if your goals and scope are also clear. Now, to set up an AI workflow, do this:
- Open** Copilot Studio**, go to the **Create **tab, and select New agent.
- In the text field, describe your agent to Copilot. For example: “Create an agent that will act as a customer service agent and answer questions in a helpful and friendly manner.” You can also name it and provide more details.
- Based on your description, the AI will create a basic agent that fulfills your criteria. Select the Configure tab to fine-tune it.
- In this tab, you’ll find the **Instructions **field, where you can define additional instructions for the bot.
- Scroll down to the Knowledge section. Here, you can add resources to inform your AI agent. In this case, it should have access to internal resources like your website and informational documents. Select **Add to agent **for each source.
- In the** Tools **section, you can connect other services with your agent. For example, you can make your customer service bot send emails to your customers via Office 365 Outlook. Simply select **Add to agent **for the tools you want.
- The **Triggers **section allows you to define your bot’s reactions to certain triggers. For example, you can create a workflow where the agent will automatically create a support ticket for new emails. Select the **When a new email arrives **trigger.
- Finally, after rounds of testing, you can hit Publish to get it live.
Conclusion
You can easily set up custom AI workflows on your Surface device to handle repetitive tasks. It’s best if the tasks are rule-based and clearly defined. In this guide, we’ve shown you how to create a customer service agent as an example.
Of course, that’s not the only thing you can automate with Copilot Studio. With a bit of imagination and patience, you can cover a broad range of workflows. Additionally, with the latest Windows AI features and updates, now is the best time to do so. Good luck!
