MADISON, Wis. - The No. 1 Nebraska volleyball team went on the road in front of 7,229 at the Wisconsin Field House and picked apart the 11th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers in a 25-22, 25-19, 25-13 sweep on Friday night.

The Huskers (21-0, 11-0 Big Ten) won the first-ever Big Ten Discover Challenge, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record in select challenge matches. Purdue also went 5-0 in challenge matches, but the Huskers won the tiebreaker with a perfect 15-0 record in sets.

Nebraska extended its streak of consecutive sweeps to 12 and sets won to 37. The Huskers won all 27 sets they played in October, only allowing opponents to reach 20 points three times.

The Huskers have beaten the Badgers four times in a row for the first time since 2012-13. It’s the first time in the 39-match series that Nebraska has posted four sweeps in a row against the Badgers.

Harper Murray paced the Huskers with 15 kills, eight digs and four blocks. Andi Jackson posted 12 kills without an error (.600) with three blocks. Rebekah Allick had seven kills on .538 hitting with six blocks. Taylor Landfair and Virginia Adriano had six and five kills, respectively. Landfair hit .500.

Bergen Reilly set the Huskers to a .349 hitting percentage with 38 assists, eight digs, four blocks and three kills. Nebraska became the first team to hit above .300 against Wisconsin this season.

Teraya Sigler had a career-high 14 digs to lead the Huskers. Laney Choboy had 10 and Olivia Mauch had seven.

NU held Wisconsin (15-4, 8-3 Big Ten) to a .175 hitting percentage.

Nebraska led in kills (48-37), digs (54-40) and blocks (9-3).

Set 1: Nebraska scored three in a row off a Jackson kill and back-to-back blocks by Allick and Reilly to go up 10-6. Murray recorded a kill before a triple block by Jackson, Murray and Reilly made it 15-11. The Huskers went ahead 18-13 after kills by Jackson and Murray around an ace by Murray. But Wisconsin answered with five points in a row to tie it 18-18. A service error ended the run, and Allick terminated for a 20-18 lead. Landfair pounded a kill and combined with Allick for a block and a 22-19 lead. The Badgers pulled within 22-21, but Allick stepped up again with a slide kill. After a Wisconsin point, Allick notched her fourth kill, and Murray finished off the set, 25-22, with her seventh kill.

Set 2: A 5-1 Husker spurt made it 12-6 Huskers with Landfair providing two kills and Jackson one. The Huskers pushed the lead to 15-7 after kills by Adriano and Murray around a block by Allick and Murray. Another Adriano kill made it 16-9. Wisconsin got within 18-14, but Landfair and Reilly kept NU in front, 20-15. Allick, Adriano, Murray and Jackson tallied kills down the stretch as the Huskers won 25-19.

Set 3: A 6-0 run served by Murray helped NU take control with an 11-4 lead. Jackson had three kills, Landfair had one and Murray served an ace. Landfair added another kill and a block with Allick for a 13-5 advantage. Allick, Murray and Adriano recorded kills and an ace by Choboy helped make it 21-9 Big Red after the 6-0 run served by the libero Choboy. Nebraska went on to win, 25-13. Wisconsin’s 13 points was a season low in a set.
