FYI: if your Chromebook is slow, laggy and almost unusable and you struggle to open up more than 1 tab without everything freezing up and you have: Updated everything, powerwashed it, turned it off and on again, removed all unnecessary storage, checked diagnostics and nothing seems to work right..
Open up the back of the laptop and check the vents, don’t forget the one opposed of the fan, and remove the dust. I just pulled this tiny bit of dust out of the right vent and lifted the battery to clean up under it and it now runs like new again.

Anyway I highly suggest checking this before sending it off for an expensive repair, which I almost just did. The temp went down from 49c to 34c instantly too.
