As convenient as editors embedded within publishing platforms can be, they can result in glitches like the above and beyond.
Writing and finalizing posts by other means can help preserve them. Take how local writing apps shed dependencies on browsers and the Internet while having features like automatic saving, backups, and more. Those apps can even serve as searchable, synchronized backups in case publishing outlets go awry. The more backup copies and locations you have for your writing, the more resilient your corpus becomes.
The best platforms have downtime and you might never know when any platform will throw in the towel. A lack of proactive preservation can worsen glitches’ side effects when they happen. While discarding creative works can be valuable, you should ideally drive what they get discarded and how. Take charge of that sooner than later.
