the Linux community in general has a bit of a right wing issue from what I can tell and I can’t really understand why that is.

Linux does not have a systemic problem with politics, yet. But like any population, bigots exist and are loud and worthless.

What’s up with that weird answer? These creeps never give a straight answer when you ask them direct questions. I think the reason for that is insufferable people like OP will always respond.

There’s really no point in discussing with people like that. They have an agenda and they won’t stop until they get what they want.

How did the mods respond when you reported it?

Honestly, I didn’t report it. I just ducked out. Since I seemed to be the only concerned party, I assumed the mods wouldn’t care.

If you care enough to take a screenshot and post it to lemmy you could have reported it. It’s worth doing, at least just to know you did something.

This and mods can’t be expected to monitor everything all the time, users are the mods’ eyes and ears. It’s not fair of OP to put the server on blast without having reported it to the mods.

Noticed it as well, left the server. I use some dotfiles from archcraft on my system, but immediately un-archcraftified my installation. Such a shame.

Yeah, it’s a bummer. Why must they come for everything we like?

They will. Report, and you see if the problem is one user, or the mods. If the mods are racist, it was never your thing. If they get banned, then you keep Nazis out of one more place.
