Following up from this post from last year, I’d love to know what you Lobsters are planning to learn in 2026!
Algol 68! It’s been merged to GCC as an experimental front-end and I’ve always meant to learn it. It’s like a parallel universe’s C, but better. It’s also quite barebones (e.g. no way to append two flex arrays) so I want to make my own standard library for it.
I also want to start contributing to rustc. And learn more about dependent types, ad-hoc polymorphism, and how they can be implemented efficiently. But those are more ambiguous goals which don’t really have a "finished" state.
