The new name better reflects our focus on scale, reliability, and continued innovation, aligning with the breadth of data, markets, and developers we serve. While the brand has changed, your APIs, accounts, and data quality continue to work exactly as they do today.

We have just renamed Polygon.io to Massive.com, effective today (October 30, 2025) at 4 PM ET. The new name better reflects our focus on scale, reliability, and continued innovation, aligning with the breadth of data, markets, and developers we serve. While the brand has changed, your APIs, accounts, and data quality continue to work exactly as they do today.
Our mission remains the same. We are here to modernize the financial industry with technology built by developers for developers. Too much of the industry still runs on outdated systems, and we are committed to building the infrastructure that powers the next generation of financial applications.
What Stays the Same
Not much changes for you. Your existing code, keys, and logins remain valid, with no updates required today. We are trying to make this transition as smooth as possible, with both domains operating in parallel for an extended period so you can adopt the new endpoints at your own pace.
- No product changes: Keep using our REST APIs, streaming WebSockets, and historical flat file downloads as you do today.
- Your account and login stay the same.
- No code changes needed: Existing API keys remain valid.
- API endpoints at api.polygon.io continue to work for an extended period. The new api.massive.com base is available in parallel.
- The polygon.io website now redirects automatically to massive.com.
- SDK client libraries will gradually default to api.massive.com on upgrade, happening seamlessly without breaking existing integrations.
We are also releasing new, officially branded
massive
SDKs (same code under the hood) that default to
api.massive.com
. Both SDKs are nearly identical in functionality and will be maintained in parallel. When upgrading, only minor code tweaks (like updating imports) are needed only if you choose to switch.
What Is Changing
A few visible updates have rolled out with the new brand and domain, but they don’t require any action from you.
- New brand and primary site at massive.com.
- New API base at api.massive.com (with parallel support for api.polygon.io).
- Email addresses from @polygon.io now forward to @massive.com.
- Invoices will list Massive.com, Inc. and card statements will show MASSIVE.COM.
Timelines and Guidance
These changes took effect today, October 30, 2025, at 4 PM ET. All existing APIs and accounts continue to work without interruption.
- New site and documentation are live at massive.com, with 301 redirects from old polygon.io links.
- Email addresses from @polygon.io forward to @massive.com.
- Invoices will list Massive.com, Inc. and card statements will show MASSIVE.COM.
- SDK client libraries:
polygon
routes to api.polygon.io,
massive
routes to api.massive.com. Both supported in parallel for an extended period.
Code using api.polygon.io will continue to work for an extended period. Over time, we expect most traffic will migrate naturally as customers upgrade to newer SDK versions. We plan to phase out support for the old endpoints in the new year, but we’ll provide plenty of notice and time to ensure a seamless transition.
