For a long time, I was looking for happiness in all the wrong places — setting new goals, finding new friends, changing jobs, moving to new places, trying out new things — always thinking that the next thing would be the key to joy.

For a long time, I was looking for happiness in all the wrong places — setting new goals, finding new friends, changing jobs, moving to new places, trying out new things — always thinking that the next thing would be the key to joy.
But, no matter what the case was, the feeling lasted for a very short time. Finally, I came to realize a tough but liberating truth:
Happiness is not always earned, at times, it’s something that you keep.
Similarly to a house, your happiness has intruders, and most of them come in quietly through the back door — masquerading as usual habits, thoughts, or reactions.
They do not appear to be harmful, but little by little, they suck your emotional energy, self-confidence, hope, and joy.
Today, it’s my intention to unveil six quiet happiness killers which are not only the things most people but also myself fight against on a daily basis.
As soon as you detect the enemies, you can control them and then, through controlling them, happiness will be much less so.
