People tend to think that such changes would automatically imply getting up at four in the morning, taking part in marathons, or practicing meditation on the top of a silent mountain in Nepal.
Nevertheless, the majority of significant changes take place starting from something tiny — so tiny that it hardly seems worth mentioning. However, it does matter.
In the past, I thought my life was so full that I couldn’t possibly “improve”.
I was always exhausted, always in a hurry, always thinking the coming Monday would be the start of my fresh beginning.
The issue was not that I needed more time. The issue was that I undervalued the power of tiny habits.
The reality is: even the smallest habits accumulate.
When a task takes 60 seconds or less, it can be done anywhere and thus, regularity becomes effortless.
Here are eight one-minute habits that really changed my daily life — my mood, my concentration, my relations, and even my self-esteem. None of them demand self-control.
