Money was and still is a very emotional thing for me. I spent my childhood in a house where “we have enough” and “we’re barely holding it together” somehow simultaneously conveyed the truth.
I saw anxiety move from one family conversation about bills that got just barely paid to grocery store checkout lines.
Therefore, when I finally became an adult I reasoned the career goal was crystal clear: get the money.
More money means less anxiety, right?
Not really.
During my development, I have failed, earned, saved, lost, and started again, and the apostle of money has the most to do with one’s mind, self, and routines, and almost nothing with figures.
The majority of people will never know how to play that game.
But the people who do?
They win — not because they are brighter or more fortunate, but because they comprehend the actual workings of money in everyday life.
