A suspicious item was found at St Joseph’s Church in Bukit Timah on the morning of Dec. 21.
According to the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the police received a call for assistance at the church at around 7:10am.
Officers were at the scene attending to the incident.

A suspicious item was found at St Joseph’s Church in Bukit Timah on the morning of Dec. 21.
According to the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the police received a call for assistance at the church at around 7:10am.
Officers were at the scene attending to the incident.
In a second update, the police confirmed that they were attending to a case of suspicious item at the church.
The area has been secured and the church has been evacuated while police operations are ongoing.
In a Facebook post, the church confirmed that it is temporarily closed.
All masses for the day have been cancelled.

In its third update, the police said they have activated the Singapore Armed Forces’ Chemical Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Group (CBRE DG) to support police operations.
Police can also be seen monitoring the perimeter of the church.
