A Singapore taxi driver who had to clean up vomit in the rear of his taxi on Dec. 21, 2025 alleged that his seemingly intoxicated passengers who vomited refused to compensate him.
According to the driver, the vomit spilled all over the right rear seat.

However, the passengers reportedly refused to compensate the driver for cleaning up their vomit.
In addition, they allegedly verbally abused him by calling him a beggar and offered to pay only S$10 for the ride.
However, the driver said he "swallowed his pride" and did not accept the S$10 especially since he was called a "beggar".


Loss of income
He added that the security personnel on night duty witnessed the mess when the driver asked for water in cleaning it up.
In light of the incident, the driver said this resulted in a loss of income for his family as he could not pick up more passengers for the night.
Being a taxi driver is one of two jobs that the driver works to support his family of seven with multiple pets, according to his daughter.
She added that her father works to support her studies abroad as well as to support her brother through medical school.
The driver emphasised in his Facebook post that people should not abuse taxi drivers.
"Driving taxi is a decent job too."
