The Netherlands is seeing a mix of clouds and sunshine on Sunday, with light, localized rain in some areas. Western regions enjoyed the sun breaking through this morning, while the east can expect occasional afternoon sun. Temperatures are mild, ranging from 12 to 14 degrees, weeronlinereported.
Meteorologists warn that while the first part of the week will remain largely dry, showers will move in from the west later Monday, and the forecast for Friday remains highly uncertain.
On Sunday morning, scattered showers occurred in some areas, but the west coast saw clear skies. By the afternoon, intermittent sunshine will continue in central and western provinces, while the east remains cloudier. Some areas along the eastern border may remain mostly cloudy, though rainfall is not expected.
By evening, skies will clear across the west and spread eastward, though overnight mist is possible in eastern and northeastern regions. Temperatures will drop to 3 to 5 degrees, with frost possible in low-lying areas. Western regions will remain slightly warmer, between 5 and 9 degrees.
Monday will bring clouds and occasional sun across the country. Early morning mist is expected in the northeast. By the afternoon, clouds will thicken in the west, bringing isolated showers, particularly along the southwest coast. Central and eastern areas remain dry but increasingly cloudy.
Afternoon temperatures will reach about 11 degrees, with a moderate south wind, stronger along the coast. A band of showers is expected to sweep across the country Monday evening before exiting the northeast early Tuesday.
Tuesday looks mostly dry, with clouds and occasional sun. Temperatures will range from 12 to 14 degrees, and southwesterly winds remain moderate, stronger along the coast. Evening celebrations for Sint-Maarten are expected to remain dry, with nighttime lows between 9 and 12 degrees.
By Thursday, the country will warm slightly, with temperatures climbing to 12 to 15 degrees. Northern and northwestern regions may see clouds and a chance of showers, while the south and southeast enjoy more sunshine, reaching 16 to 17 degrees. From Friday onward, forecasts are highly uncertain.
Conditions could remain mild before cooling toward average November temperatures of 9 to 10 degrees, potentially accompanied by rain.
