They were in position to improve that record even further against a Milwaukee Bucks team missing Giannis Antetokounmpo.
But the Bucks pulled off the upset behind a strong performance from Ryan Rollins, who was the best player on the court.
Despite that result, there are plenty of positives for Golden State to build on from their opening stretch of games.

Despite that result, there are plenty of positives for Golden State to build on from their opening stretch of games.
Kevin Garnett sees Warriors’ young talent as key to title hopes
There’s a growing narrative that the Golden State Warriors are simply too old, lacking the young legs needed to make another deep run. But it’s not that straightforward.
Paul Pierce recently raised concerns about the team’s ability to handle another long postseason stretch, pointing to their ageing core: “their durability, being an older team, can they go through another long playoff run. I’m just not so sure.”

But Kevin Garnett has pushed back on that idea, noting that the Warriors aren’t just relying on their older stars like Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Al Horford and Jimmy Butler.
The team also has younger players like Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski stepping up and making an impact early in the season.
Golden State Warriors look the part of contender in the Western Conference despite loss
The only real blemish on the Warriors’ season so far is their loss to the Bucks, a game they were heavy favourites in.
That loss was probably more to do with the Warriors taking their pedal off the gas, rather than them not being a good team.

The Warriors have also lost to the Portland Trail Blazers, but Portland has been a pleasant surprise to start the season sitting at 3-2.
Golden State does have impressive victories over playoff-calibre teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers. Those wins prove the Warriors are legit.
