Participants wil learn how to design and execute a systematic, planned and structured method to search open sources and find a representative, balanced set of information on a certain subject. This day is devoted to two fundamental principles of OSINT. Those are: requirement analysis and problem deconstruction and two: designing a collection plan.
Morning session : OSINT design Requirement analysis & problem deconstruction. Participants will learn how to break down a complex problem in manageable concepts, then to create a set of Answerable Questions for each of them. The second step is then to investigate the global world of open sources: how is it organised, where to find what, and the main sources to find good information.

Afternoon session : OSINT planning The third logical step from the OSINT Intelligence cycle is to create a intelligence collection plan, a detailed report listing exactly what to do with the required answers. Semantics and terminology are essential in this step, and basic techniques to get the most out of your browser will be explained.
