The Seduction
The Seduction is a brand new 6-part series premiering on HBO Max this Friday, November 14. A French historical drama, the series acts as a prequel to Dangerous Liaisons, the renowned 1988 romantic drama film that earned a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score and 3 Oscars, including Best Adapted Screenplay.

Ángela Diniz: Murdered and Convicted
Another can’t-miss new HBO Max series this week is Ángela Diniz: Murdered and Convicted, a 6-part miniseries based on the tragic murder of Brazilian socialite Ángela Diniz. Diniz was murdered at her own beach house in Rio in December 1976 at the age of 32.
All true crime fans need to check out this HBO Max series when it releases on Thursday, November 13. Based on the Brazilian podcast “Praia Dos Ossos,” Ángela Diniz will portray the life of the titular protagonist leading up to her death, as well as the legal battle that ensued involving her killer, which sparked a media frenzy in Brazil at the time.
The Thaw
The Thaw has been one of the most-watched HBO Max series on global charts for several consecutive weeks. Premiering in 2022, the Polish whodunnit crime series consists of 18 episodes and is currently releasing new episodes in its third season. Its season 3 finale is slated to release next Friday.
Not to be confused with the 2009 Val Kilmer movie of the same name, The Thaw follows Katarzyna Zawieja, a detective who investigates the murder of a young woman who gave birth to a baby shortly before her death. True Detective
