The Chi
Paramount+ subscribers looking for a deep show with plenty of episodes to get lost in this week should check out the coming-of-age drama series The Chi. Consisting of 78 episodes and 7 seasons, with an eighth on the way, The Chi is one of the most reliable long-form binges on the streaming platform.
The Chi takes place in South Side Chicago, where daily lives can meet deadly outcomes. Season 1 earned a Certified Fresh Rotten Tomatoes score of 87% and was praised for its authentic portrayal of its real-life setting and circumstances. Season 7 just concluded in August 2025, with season 8 on the way for the acclaimed series created by Emmy winner Lena Waithe (Master of None).
Fire Country
Fire Country has been and continues to be one of the most popular CBS series since its initial release in 2022, which has also made it a streaming hit on Paramount+. The series recently debuted its fourth season in mid-October and is currently the 3rd most-watched show on Paramount+, two spots behind its new spinoff series, Sheriff Country.
Fire Country begins with Bode (played by Max Thieriot), a convict who joins a firefighting program to gain redemption and a shorter prison sentence. The series isn’t necessarily the type of series that will end up in any Emmy conversations, but it does resonate with millions of viewers who like their TV shows with a melodramatic flair.
South Park
With nearly three decades of yearly seasons, South Park is undoubtedly one of the most influential and greatest comedy series of all time. The series has built its legacy on tackling topical and often controversial subject matter, acting largely as a platform for cultural criticism and social parody.
South Park is currently in its 28th season, which will conclude in December, and has been one of the top-performing Paramount+ shows for the better part of 2025. It’s the #2 most-watched Paramount+ show in the world right now, right behind Tulsa King, and will likely hold that spot through November. With over 325 episodes, *South Park *is always a safe bet for a hilarious binge.
1923
Taylor Sheridan continues to be the king of Paramount+ until he makes the move to Peacock in a few years. The Yellowstone prequel 1923, starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, may just be his all-time greatest series yet – and the only Sheridan series with 2 or more Emmy nominations.
1923 follows the Dutton family in the early 20th century, sandwiched right between the other Yellowstone prequel series, 1883, and Yellowstone itself. The series earned a 94% Rotten Tomatoes score, including a perfect 100% for season 2. At two seasons and 15 episodes, 1923 is the perfect length for a week-long binge on Paramount+.
Mayor of Kingstown
Speaking of all-time great Sheridan shows, Mayor of Kingstown is off to a remarkably strong start with its fourth season, which just premiered in October. Starring Jeremy Renner, Mayor of Kingstown follows Mike McLusky (Renner), a fixer and unofficial mayor of a prison town in Michigan.
Mayor of Kingstown is based on the real-life Canadian prison town, Kingston, where co-creator Hugh Dillon is from. The series premiered in 2021 and is nearly halfway through its fourth season, which currently has a 97% Rotten Tomatoes audience score.
If there’s only one show you can binge this week on Paramount+, it has got to be Mayor of Kingstown.
