Admittedly, there are a lot of Netflix original TV shows to watch, but if you haven’t seen these three series yet, you need to put them on your queue. Netflix originals started coming out over a decade ago, first with House of Cards, then with Bloodline, Narcos, and so many more series, some of which are still going.

It seems that every month, there is a new Netflix original TV show and with the influx of foreign-language series, you might step away from the streamer for a week and come back to see that your entire “suggested for” screen is completely new. Some shows get seen by everyone, like Stranger Things and Wednesday, but others get forgotten.
It’s the nature of streaming television that if a show doesn’t become popular immediately it’s not likely to find an audience, save for the few times when a series suddenly gains steam years after it premieres. These three Netflix series are excellent, and though you should have seen them by now, it’s possible you missed them.
Hellbound (2021-Present)
Hellbound should have been the next big thing after Squid Game. This South Korean horror series takes place in a fictional version of Earth where an otherworldly face suddenly materializes in the sky and begins delivering “decrees” that condemn certain people to Hell at some point in the near or far future.
At the time dictated, three monstrous demons emerge from Hell and kill the person in a violent show of strength that appears unstoppable. Over the years, enterprising groups have learned how to use these “demonstrations” as ways to make money, turning gory deaths into game show-like environments.
It’s a properly frightening, strange, and often surprisingly funny show that shines a light on the obsession with seeing people deemed guilty punished, and for celebrating the most base parts of the human psyche. The mystery at the center of the series slowly develops and drags you in, surprising and shocking you along the way.
Wild Wild Country (2018)
Wild Wild Country is one of the best documentary series to come out in the last decade and if you have any interest in cult shows or shows about Americana, this is the series for you. In 6 episodes, Wild Wild Country tells the story of the controversial Indian guru, Bhagwan Shree Rajnees, and his one-time assistant, Ma Anand Sheela.
The Rajneesh movement was a new religious movement that gained notoriety in the U.S. in the 1980s when a Rajneesh religious community sprung up in Wasco County, Oregon. The community was led by Rajneesh himself, also called Osho, an Indian philosopher and mystic, and became the incorporated city, Rajneeshpuram.
Simmering tensions between the adherents and the locals of Wasco County soon boil over into intense legal battles, political fights, and eventually acts of bioterrorism. The documentary gets more and more unbelievable each episode, with the emerging side plot of a schism within the Rajneesh providing a particularly fascinating tale.
Master Of None (2015-2021)

Aziz Ansari’s Master of None is one of the best comedy-drama TV shows that too few people have seen. The series stars Ansari as Dev Shah, a 30-year-old commercial actor living in New York City, contending with the decisions he’s made in his life as he tries to figure out what it is that truly makes him happy.
He’s joined by his best friend Arnold (Eric Wareheim), his lesbian friend Denise (Lena Waithe), and his parents, who are played by Ansari’s real-life parents, Shoukath and Fatima Ansari. Master of None season 2 takes place mostly in Italy, while season 3 changes the main character to Denise, who is working as a novelist.
Master of None is an extremely funny **Netflix **series with a firm sense of drama and story, but unlike a lot of comedy-drama projects created by comedians, Master of None never forgets that it should be making jokes first, with thoughtful, provocative ideas coming second. It’s smart, simple, and charming in every way you want.
