Why we love this KitchenAid deal

I do a lot of baking at home, so my KitchenAid stand mixer was one of my kitchen essentials. But unfortunately, living in a tiny New York City apartment with an even tinier kitchen has made keeping a massive stand mixer in my home a lot harder to justify. Thankfully, the KitchenAid Professional 9-Speed Hand Mixer can accomplish nearly everything its stand mixer counterpart can without monopolizing precious counter space.

For the power and versatility it delivers, this mixer is well worth its typical price of $115, nearly $400 less than our favorite stand mixer. However, you can purchase it for just $64 on Amazon, the lowest price it has dropped to all year.

Why you’ll love it

If you want to be able to make a wide variety of recipes and work with tough doughs, this is the best hand mixer to get the job done. It packs plenty of power despite its lightweight design, equipped with nine gradually increasing speed settings for maximum control. With beater, dough hook, whisk, and blending rod attachments, it can tackle a wide range of tasks, from bread doughs and cake batters to sauces and soups.

Despite the complex recipes you can use it for, the mixer itself is incredibly intuitive. With only an on/off toggle and arrows to navigate through the nine speeds, it’s easy to use right out of the box. Another great feature is the swivel cord, which can be locked into two positions to keep it out of your way while you’re mixing. But the best part is that all the attachments are dishwasher safe, so you can always rely on an easy cleanup.
