MORELIA — The Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance (CAFTA) announced that it has participated in the Tri-National Agricultural Accord held in Morelia, Mexico, from October 16 to 18.
The annual meeting brought together senior state and provincial agricultural officials from Canada, the United States, and Mexico to collaborate on key agricultural trade and development issues.
A CAFTA delegation attended to try and strengthen relationships with industry counterparts and government officials from across North America, highlighting the importance of open and predictable trade in supporting the competitiveness of the agri-food sector, CAFTA stated in a press release.

“CAFTA was pleased to participate in this year’s Tri-National Agricultural Accord to underline the importance of CUSMA and our integrated agri-food trading relationship across North America,” said Michael Harvey, Executive Director of CAFTA. “CUSMA continues to provide the framework that enables our farmers and food processors to deliver safe, nutritious, and affordable food to consumers throughout the continent and beyond.”
