The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) and the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) have released a discussion paper highlighting the important role of refrigerants in reducing emissions and improving building performance.

Entitled Freeze Frame: Refrigerants as long-term building infrastructure, the discussion paper makes it clear that refrigerants are central to modern heating, cooling and ventilation systems, and the decisions made about these systems today will determine the sector’s costs, risks and emissions profile for decades.
