Well into September, the bird migration is on its way. Although the quantity low due to warm weather, the quality is excellent with some nice eastern vagrants.
A first-year Citrine Wagtail (sitronerle) has been present at Stamnes the last few days, while another very vocal individual was observed flying east over Nesset.
Ringing at Kalvøya has produced an early Olive-backed Pipit (sibirpiplerke) and a first year Barred Warbler (hauksanger) the last couple of days.
A smart adult male Yellow Vagtail of the subspecies flava (sørlig gulerle) was seen briefly at Klakken.
A young female Gyrfalcon (jaktfalk) was around early September, and was last seen at Sandholmen.
