That said, to me a grinder in this price range should have a very wide comfort zone. You can’t charge that much and expect users to stick to only one burr option or to run above a certain RPM-doing so makes the lower-RPM setting effectively pointless. When I look at reviews, the negative anecdotes are just as important, if not more so, as the positive ones.
The internet will always have the negative comments seem to be the norm, when they are not.
This has always been the case. Grinders aside, people very rarely go online and post positive reviews.
Enthusiast forums tend to amplify this too.
I personally would pass on the P80 if I were you. Thats the beauty of today’s consumer market.
Other suggestions woukd be to try to find one where you can test it in person and see if your mind changes. That is always a hard proposition.

Most user reviews I’ve read, from experienced home baristas, have been excellent. Although I probably won’t buy this grinder, it looks very promising and a great low cost addition to an insane 80mm market.
Soon the Bookoo will launch also, exciting times we live in.

Finally, my P80 has arrived too; I waited quite a while for it, though I didn’t order it at launch but three days later. Do you use a wooden lid on the grinder, and if so, where did you order it from?
