I measured our factory cafe DE1XL and Bengle, as it actually is. The DE1XL is slightly (1cm) taller then the DE1PRO, but also we’re testing slightly-larger Samsung A11 tablets https://www.samsung.com/hk/tablets/gala ... 33nzaatgy/ to be possibly used next year, and so the height here is:
430mm DE1XL 475mm Bengle
So, about 4.5cm taller for Bengle.
The dimensions mentioned by Marino (473mm) are likely more accurate, as I used a tape measure.

Thank you both so much!
I’m in the U.S. with cabinets that are 18" above the countertop - the most common spacing. The Bengle is about 1/2" too tall.
Perhaps I could run a smaller tablet? I expect this will be a challenge for a number of US customers.

Consider putting the tablet on the table, instead of on the espresso machine.
That’s what I do, and I prefer it because it gives me easy access to the cups warming on top, and also doesn’t put the tech in front of my face.
These days I use the tablet to pick the profile I want and to check that the curves look ok, but I don’t need it front and center (literally)

Are there any grind by weight grinders that are compatible with the machines? That you can see you grind weight directly on the machine or that you can set the grind weight on the machine and it communicate with the grinder? Or is there anything in the works?

We’re working with BOOKOO on their upcoming grinder https://bookoocoffee.com/products/booko ... rr-grinder
So that it can work both with our Half Decent Scale and also with their BOOKOO Scale, and talk to our de1app.
Mahlkonig has a grind by weight feature, but when I contacted them about working together they told me they were exclusive with LM.
I don’t know of any other grind by weight grinders, at least none that have any openness. If any come up, we definitely will want to support them.
Bookoo’s scales are open and have a documented API. They themselves use our DE1 espresso machine, and that’s why I personally programmed support for their scale in our de1app.
As an open source company I prefer to work with other open companies.
