These are extraordinary times for Chevrolet Corvette enthusiasts, as America’s sports car currently has the broadest lineup in the nameplate’s history, not to mention the mid-engine layout that makes it the finest-handling Vette ever made.
Chevrolet offers a Corvette for everyone these days, from the naturally aspirated Stingray and Z06 to the E-Ray naturally aspirated hybrid, and from the twin-turbocharged ZR1 to the ZR1X twin-turbo hybrid. There’s simply no other sports car or supercar that offers a lineup as diverse as the C8 Corvette.

Add to this the fact that each model is available both as a coupe or a hardtop convertible and offers two or three trim levels, and choosing the perfect Corvette gets quite complicated. Thankfully, that’s what Chevrolet’s configurator is for, and the good news is the build site for the top-dog Corvette, the ZR1X high-performance hybrid, went live over the weekend. While you can configure the ZR1X in great detail, there’s still a crucial detail missing from the configurator – pricing. We’re sure that it will be added shortly to the website, which otherwise looks complete.
As a reminder, 2026 Corvette ZR1X pricing is no secret, as Chevrolet revealed in August that its hypercar-slaying model starts at 207,395 for the 1LZ coupe; the 1LZ convertible is priced from $217,395. The range-topping 3LZ trim starts at $218,395 (including $1,995 destination) in coupe guise or $228,395 in convertible guise. As for the Quail Silver limited edition, it comes exclusively in 3LZ Convertible form for $243,390.

It’s worth noting that all the prices include a $1,995 destination charge but exclude the gas-guzzling tax. That one will later be added to the tally, but the amount hasn’t been set yet by the EPA. For example, buyers of a new ZR1 have to pay a $3,000 gas-guzzler tax. This is likely why the Corvette ZR1X configurator does not list pricing yet and shows the message “See Dealer for Pricing.” As Corvette Blogger points out, Chevrolet did the same when it launched the ZR1 configurator and was waiting for the amount of the gas guzzler tax to be disclosed.
Pricing aside, the Corvette ZR1X configurator looks good to go, and it’s a useful tool for prospective customers and people who are just curious to see how their real or imaginary ZR1X would look with their preferred exterior and interior features applied. The build tool allows the visualization of body style, trim levels, exterior colors, wheels, tires, brakes, stripes and graphics, as well as interior color, seat type, seat belt color and steering wheel material and color, among other things.
This Is How We Configured Our Corvette ZR1X

After they’re done playing with the many combinations available for the exterior and interior, users can also spec one or more of the available options. Interestingly, the configurator does have the optional extras’ prices defined and totals them at the end, so you can work out a total price for your dream Corvette ZR1X.
Needless to say, the price of the ZR1X can quickly balloon if you select the most expensive options. We’ve managed to add a total of $27,435 to the starting MSRP of a 3LZ convertible ZR1X, with our car totaling $255,830 before the gas guzzler tax. Among the optional extras we chose are the $10,495 ZR1X Carbon Fiber Aero Package, $4,995 Carbon Fiber Interior Package Level 2, $1,500 ZTK Track Performance Package and many other less costly items.

Even at around $260,000 as our generously specced model costs, the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X is still a supercar bargain, as it can hang with hypercars that cost $1 million or more. With a combined 1,250 hp and 973 lb-ft of torque from its LT7 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 and front electric motor, the ZR1X does 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds and hits a top speed of 233 mph. It’s also capable of covering the quarter-mile in under 9 seconds, with a trap speed of over 150 mph, according to GM.

With this kind of performance, the real question is how on earth did GM manage to offer it for $207,000 when a 1,036-hp Ferrari 849 Testarossa costs almost three times as much.
