Samsung is partnering with iFIT to bring a massive library of premium, expert-guided workouts directly into the Samsung Health application. This move is huge because it finally closes a major feature gap Samsung had compared to Apple, which has had a premium fitness service for years.

Samsung is partnering with iFIT to bring a massive library of premium, expert-guided workouts directly into the Samsung Health application. This move is huge because it finally closes a major feature gap Samsung had compared to Apple, which has had a premium fitness service for years.
The core of this partnership centers on integration with the Galaxy Watch lineup. If you’re using a Galaxy Watch, you’re going to get a much better experience than just following along on your phone. As you work out, the Galaxy Watch automatically tracks key metrics like the session duration, your heart rate, and the calories you’ve burned.
The best part is that these stats are displayed directly on your wrist in real time, so you can keep tabs on your effort without having to constantly look up at the screen displaying the workout video. This real-time feedback is something I would say is absolutely essential for any premium guided service. It helps you push harder when you need to and lets you instantly see if you’re maintaining the intensity the trainer is calling for.
iFIT is known for having an incredibly broad range of content, and Samsung Health is bringing over a great selection of it. The workouts are broken down into seven distinct categories, which should cover almost any type of movement you could want. You can expect high-intensity interval training, or HIIT, for those days when you need a quick, sweat-inducing session.
There’s also Pilates and yoga for flexibility and core strength, which are great for recovery days. If you’re looking to build muscle, there are dedicated strength routines. The lineup is rounded out with barre, specific recovery sessions, and mindfulness content.
Samsung is being pretty generous while still encouraging subscriptions. Every single Samsung Health user gets some free content right out of the gate. You receive one on-demand video per category each month, at absolutely no cost. Since there are seven categories, this means you’re getting seven high-quality, expert-led workouts every month for free. It’s a great way to sample the goods and decide which category you enjoy most.
If you want full access to the hundreds of available workouts, you’ll need to subscribe. The pricing is straightforward. You can subscribe for $9.99 per month, or you can save a bit of cash by opting for the annual plan at $99.99 per year. This pricing is competitive with other major fitness subscription services, which is something I appreciate seeing since Samsung has many dedicated Galaxy Watch users.
Samsung is also leveraging this new partnership to incentivize the purchase of its hardware, offering tiered free trials depending on what you buy. This is great news if you’ve been looking to upgrade your tech.
If you purchase a qualifying new Galaxy smartphone, Samsung throws in 30 days of iFIT access for free. Those buying the new Galaxy Buds3 Pro will unlock three months of complimentary iFIT access. Picking up the new Galaxy Watch8, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic, or the premium Galaxy Watch Ultra, will get you a whopping six months of iFIT included at no charge.
