Three Deployment Achievements of Digital Antennas Set a Benchmark for Global Transformation
Huawei showcased three key global deployment achievements of its Digital Antennas, highlighting their value in improving operational efficiency, enhancing network resilience, and advancing network autonomy.
- Achievement 1: Building a Solid Foundation for Network Intelligence. By achieving 100% accurate real-time retrieval of antenna engineering parameters, Huawei’s solution completely replaces traditional manual site surveys, improving operational efficiency by 30 times. It also enables full lifecycle digital management of antennas in networks, establishing the accurate data foundation needed for intelligent network evolution.
- Achievement 2: Enhancing Wireless Network Resilience. In disaster-prone areas, remote antenna engineering parameter management enables rapid fault localization, improving disaster recovery efficiency by 20 times. Combined with real-time multi-dimensional beam adjust capabilities, this helps networks recover quickly, significantly enhancing reliability in extreme scenarios.
- Achievement 3: Accelerating the Path to AN L4 (Autonomous Network Level 4). Leveraging real-time, precise engineering parameter retrieval and real-time multi-dimensional beam adjust capabilities, integrated with topology visualization and AgenticRAN, Huawei enables “Beams Follow Traffic, Networks Adapt to Services.” This ensures users enjoy an optimal experience – anytime, anywhere – helping operators achieve average traffic growths of over 6%.
Three Key Antenna Capability Innovations, Strengthening the Digital Intelligent Foundation
Simultaneously, Huawei announced three key antenna capability innovations, achieving systematic breakthroughs in digitalization, high efficiency, and easy deployment.
- Innovation 1: Comprehensive Evolution of Digital Capabilities, Propelling Networks Toward Intelligence. The high sensitivity built-in Antenna Information Sensor Unit (AISU), utilizing dual GNSS antenna design and satellite multipath suppression algorithm, accurately retrieves antenna engineering parameters within minutes. Coupled with Metasurface material innovation, it enables 3D remote beam adjustment, also within minutes. This provides wireless base stations with precise information input and dynamic execution output, making the fully automated “Perception-Analysis-Decision-Execution” capability loop of Autonomous Networks possible.
- Innovation 2: Holistic Performance Architecture Upgrade, Elevating User Experience. The antenna arrays adopt a full-band Signal Direct Injection Feeding (SDIF) architecture, overcoming the traditional cable era limitations, maximizing energy efficiency. The optimal side-by-side array architecture maximizes the radiation aperture, improving user experience by 20%.
- Innovation 3: Comprehensive Easy Deployment Innovation, Reducing OPEX. The new Dragon-Wing structure features an integrated truss design and a bi-directional interwoven long-fiber radome, achieving the industry’s lightest antenna weight. Enhanced streamlined design, combined with the upgraded Array Decoupling Surface (ADS 2.0) technology, results in the industry’s narrowest antenna width and lowest wind load. This enables ultra-simplified deployment, significantly helping operators reduce operational costs.
To date, Huawei’s Digital Antennas have been deployed at a large scale in over 20 countries worldwide, assisting more than 40 operators in accelerating their intelligent network transformation. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to invest in R&D and collaborate with global partners to jointly advance the digital evolution of the antenna industry.
