LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Two of college basketball’s biggest names will share the spotlight Saturday night when John Calipari’s Arkansas Razorbacks take on Tom Izzo’s Michigan State Spartans.
It’s the sixth meeting between the Hall of Fame coaches, with Calipari holding a 3-2 edge. For the first time, the matchup won’t be on a neutral court — and it marks the third different program Calipari has led against Izzo.

- Michigan State edged Kentucky 78-74 in 2013 featuring Gary Harris, while Julius Randle starred for the Wildcats.
- Kentucky rolled past Michigan State 69-48 in 2016 with Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox leading the way.
- In 2019, Tyrese Maxey powered Kentucky to a 69-62 win at Madison Square Garden.
- Michigan State evened the series in 2022 with an 86-77 victory in Indianapolis, led by Joey Hauser.
Tipoff is set for Saturday night on Fox 16.
