- The AI browser wars. There’s an interesting thing happening in the world of web browsers. While Chrome still dominates the traditional browsing experience, there is a whole crop of new browsers coming out from AI companies.
- Don’t let AI sit on the “OK Plateau”. “If you see AI as just another Google or a tool for writing better emails, you’re selling yourself short.”
- All of my reading on the iPad Mini. My reading techniques have changed quite a lot over the past six months, and right now I’m finding myself in an interesting place — I’m doing all of my reading on the iPad Mini.
- Notes from “Upstream” by Dan Heath. “When you spend years responding to problems, you can sometimes overlook the fact that you could be preventing them.”
- Don’t be anyone. “Good, fast and cheap used to be the goals of a typical small business. Today, there’s probably a giant, heartless competitor who is gooder, faster and cheaper than you.”
- Hide the popular bookmarks until later. While I miss the “popular bookmarks” feature from Kindle, maybe it’s a good thing to go without it.
Noteworthy articles that I read
- Stanford Just Killed Prompt Engineering With 8 Words (And I Can’t Believe It Worked). The words they suggest you add to your prompts are “… with their probabilities”. It’s an interesting study.
- ChatGPT isn’t Smart. It’s something Much Weirder. Hank Green and Nate Soares, the author of “If anyone builds it, everyone dies” with a fascinating conversation about where AI is heading.
Books that I’m reading
I read for a total of 3:28 last week with the following:
- Continued reading “Give to Grow“
- Continued reading “Finding Focus“
- Started reading “Amusing Ourselves to Death“

Tech Rec
Stealing the idea from my friends at the Tech Talk Y’all podcast, I’ll drop in some tech recommendation every week as well.
- Pebble 2 Duo. Pebble is finally back! I talked about it back in January, and my Pebble 2 Duo arrived this week, and it’s indeed a solid little watch.
I hope you found some value in this. If you ever have questions, ideas, or disagreements regarding anything I write, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
