In a recent Q3 2025 earnings report by Match Group, Tinder’s parent company, the firm revealed it is working on a new feature for Tinder called “Chemistry,” powered by AI, of course.
Match Group said Chemistry learns about your personality and interests by asking interactive questions and, with your permission, analyzing your camera roll. Using deep learning, it then surfaces a few highly relevant profiles each day, which should lead to more compatible matches.
This system is a major component of Tinder’s planned 2026 product experience and is currently live in New Zealand and Australia, with plans to expand to other countries in the coming months.

Match Group also stated that Tinder is building a new design-led culture. This effort includes a “Liquid Glass” refresh planned for iOS users that will make the app feel more modern and fluid.
As for the app performance, on Android, Tinder startup times are now 38% faster, and crash rates have fallen by more than 32%. On iOS, app stability is up by more than 57% as the company works to get load times under one second.
Several features are also in testing, including “Contextual Likes” and “Open Messaging.” While the report did not elaborate on what these do, it did confirm that a “Prompts on Photos” feature has been fully rolled out. This allows users to share exactly why they swiped right on someone.
When it comes to Trust and Safety, Match Group claimed that its new “Face Check” verification feature has produced strong early results. This is the same system that requires a video selfie for verification and has been rolling out globally. The company reported a 60% reduction in views of profiles identified as bad actors and a 40% decrease in reports of bad actor activity in markets where the feature is active.
As for the money side of things (it is still an earnings report, remember), Match Group’s total revenue was $914 million for the quarter. This is a 2% increase compared to Q3 2024. Net income also saw a healthy jump, increasing 18% year-over-year to $161 million.
