What is N.G.V.O.?

N.G.V.O. is a visual-only Skyrim Wabbajack modlist designed to be forked. Already modlists such as Ghoulified Reality, Ostim Community Modlist, Colloquy’s Skyrim Vanilla Plus and several others have used NGVO is a visual basis to create their ideal Skyrim. So why should you use NGVO?

• Visuals, UI and Audio

NGVO makes use of all the latest and greatest visual addons for Skyrim Special Edition. Cabbage ENB is the centerpiece, with some custom tweaks added on for compatibility. Vanaheimr is the main landscape mod and utilized Terrain Helper for ENB. Every creature, plate, bowl, building, etc has been retextured and/or remeshed. In additional to visuals, the audio has also been upgraded to modern standards. All vanilla lines are now higher quality. Several vanilla sounds have been replaced by mods such as the Phoenix Compendium as well as Clofas’ series of audio enhancements. Finally, the User Interface has been overhauled with Untarnished UI which, in my opinion, is still the most consistent looking User Interfact mod available. Of course, everything is fully configurable.

• Ease of Use

NGVO includes every tool to further customize your Skyrim modding. Bodyslide, xLodGen, xEdit, TexGen, DynDolod, ParallaxGen, Vramr, Nifscope, Cathedral Asset Optimizer and much much more are in the toolset. One of my philosophies with NGVO is to limit plugin bloat. As such, NGVO only has around 450 active plugins despite including mods such as Lux and Northern Roads. It also has less than 50 ESPs/ESMs. This means you have over 200 ESP/ESM slots and over 3500 esl/espfe slots available. Beyond this, every single conflict has been conflict patched. • Performance, Requirements & Stability

NGVO has been optimized and bugfixed by hand for the smoothest and most playable ultra-modded experience possible. I personally check meshes to make sure the polys are not insane as to tank FPS for little visual gain. Texture sizes are chosen on the basis of how the texture is actually applied into the world. Custom edits have been made to the environment to reduce drawcalls. On top of this, our Discord server features modlist support for those running into issues.

The pre-requisites for installing NGVO can vary but these are absolutely essential regardless:

-Legal copy of Skyrim Anniversary Edition ($20 upgrade too) on Steam set to the English language and updated to the latest version.

• Skyrim Anniversary Edition Creation Kit downloaded on Steam (free). -Latest Visual C++ and .Net Runtime installed (even if you think you have them) -Pagefile set to a minimum of 40GB - instructions -250GB of space (126GB are downloads and can be placed on any drive, the 125GB install must be on a Solid State Drive) -16GB of RAM -Preferably a high-performing CPU such as at least an 11th gen Intel i7 or higher or AMD equivalent. -At least 8GB of VRAM GPU. Ideally 10GB+.
