While working on my new version of CBM Guide, I arrived at a point where I had to integrate a weather mod. I have chosen Azurite as the weather mod that will be used in my new CBM Guide alongside other mods. It was a hard choice but with the proper settings configured, Azurite gives a very close to realistic tone to the game.
This pre-configuration requires you to use Azurite Weathers - MCM and Settings Loader. My mod will set the values automatically for you.

Azurite Weathers is a good weather mod but I find it too bright. Outsides are often more white than colorfull and it seams at times that it’s more of a desert area rather than a forest or tundra region. So, I made my own changes and spent several hours playing around with the settings to arrive at something I like a lot.
With these settings, your game will look a tad bit darker but not sad, just a normal kind of darker. Things will look sharper and more detailed while maintaining good color balance and quality. You will still get this bright open field feeling while getting a bit of a more closed tight feeling in dense forest. As for the nights, they won’t be pitch dark but they will be a bit darker. I think that Skyrim is a game where we should enjoy being able to walk and run and see where we are going at night but not to the point of just changing the entire scene in a more blue-ish tone. Particular attention was put to make the game feel balanced in day/night colors and brightness making the game playable all around the clock and in all weathers.
What other mods do you use?
Not much, basically Vanilla texture upscales since I have not gone too far yet in my modding BUT, as far as lighting goes, I think the following are pretty much basics if you consider to leave ENB and replace it with Community Shaders so here’s the list of shaders that are used in the screenshots.
Cloud Shadows - Community Shaders Skylighting - Community Shaders Sky Sync - Community Shaders Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI) - Community Shaders Grass Lighting - Community Shaders Grass Collision - Community Shaders Screen Space Shadows - Community Shaders Terrain Shadows - Community Shaders Terrain Blending - Community Shaders Terrain Variation - Community Shaders Water Effects - Community Shaders Wetness Effects - Community Shaders
Can’t we set the values ourselves?
YES! Absolutely. In fact, in the following spoiler are the values that are set if you prefer to do it on your own instead of installing this mod. I presume you know where to navigate so here are the MCM menu values.
