In the final seconds of Saturday’s game at the Breslin Center, Brazile air-balled a score-tying 3-point attempt as Michigan State held on for a 69-66 victory. He finished 1-for-5 from the field with 3 points after a 25-point outing in the season opener.
As Brazile left the floor after the disappointing loss, Spartans fans chanted “air ball” repeatedly in his direction. He couldn’t contain his frustration, winding his right arm and slinging the towel in his hand at a screaming fan.
Arkansas did not have any comment on the matter when contacted by The Athletic on Sunday.
This is Brazile’s fourth season with the Arkansas program. He is one of the few players who remained after the coaching transition from Eric Musselman to John Calipari. Last season, Brazile averaged 6.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He began his collegiate career at Missouri in 2021.
