First Time in Bangkok

Am I getting it right? Tried to walk but gave up and took the bus then gave up and called a Grab LOL.

I am loving the experience so far. But just making sure, it is not very walkable or is it?

Tried a few areas. I feel points of interests are very spread out and scattered in the city.

Now, are there districts where I can walk around and still find everything close by, like interesting lively Neighborhood with many points of interests close by each other? Haven't tried chinatown and khaosan road area.

Let me know where I should go and walk around
