I’m trying to figure if there’s a way for me to connect to something like Linear in Claude (using their standard marketplace connectors) and have everyone in my org get access to that connector or if everyone in my org needs to individually add the Linear connection and authenticate.
I asked Claude and it said:
Good question! For the standard connectors offered directly in the Claude web app (like Google Drive, Slack, etc.), the connection is still individual to your account, not shared across your team.

If this is true, I sort of get it: You want each user to individually authenticate so that they access the apps with their permissions, but this seems like a major adoption hurdle in the enterprise. Especially in smaller orgs. In contrast, if you look at Slackbots, they generally operate on the premise that whatever they respond with is safe for the entire org, and so only the admin has to add the Slackbot that one time.
What am I missing? Are the permission issues I’m bringing up actually much more important than I’m making them out to be? Is this just a matter of time and Claude will eventually have this?
Alternatively: Are there other clients that make it easy to establish org-wide connections that everyone in an org can start leveraging immediately?
