Hi - using Claude via the Max OS app to work side by side with Xcode. Claude has MCP access to my desktop, the xcode project is on my desktop.
Step by step working with Claude to build an iOS app. Prompt in Claude, review and build in Xcode. Works well. Built a fully functional iOS crud app with maps and notifications all within my Pro plan weekly allowance. Impressive!
However, noted that at times Claude will immediately edit the files in the folder, whilst in another chat (after message window filled) it will start to just print to screen all the new code.
I then have to ask it to edit files directly, and this often causes issues. String_replace error. Eventually it figures it out. But it seems when this happens my sessiom credits burn through much much faster.

Any tricks to have it code directly into the folder vs the screen dumping of 500 lines of code?
