I use Obsidian for journaling, logging what I’ve done, and keeping a retrospective agenda. I try to keep my setup as simple as possible. With the “Journals” plugin, I create daily, weekly, and monthly notes. At the end of each week, I summarize my days, and at the end of each month, I summarize the weeks. However, I feel like something’s missing.
When I look back at a week or month, I want to quickly see a high-level summary. For example, I’d like to write something like this in each daily note:
Highlights of the day: oil change, eye exam, met with my partner
Then I’d write the rest of the day as usual. What I want is for the “Highlights” lines from my daily notes to automatically appear, day by day, in a table or paragraph inside my weekly and monthly note. What’s the simpl…
