Do you think people would enjoy a YouTube Channel about this home lab that is going to be full Kubernetes based?
Currently running a mix of Proxmox and Talos Linux (Kubernetes). I am in the process of migrating everything to Talos Linux and KibeVirt (Kubernetes VM’s) as well as upgrading to all R740xd’s and R640’s. I do plan on keeping the Google server as a backup server for now. Also since the Cisco UCS chassis is a beast and super power hungry it is not even setup. There are 2 1200VA UPS’s that each run to an independent PDU in the back for HA Backup Power since all servers are currently running A/B redundant power supplies.
More about the home lab:

More about the home lab:
UniFi Networking with Protect
48 Port GBE some run 2.5GBE with POE
2 R640’s are Talos bare-metal
the rest of the servers are running Proxmox with a variety of services including my current Talos cluster.
R740xd has the same SSD as everything else but also has 3 12TB Seagate Exos HDD’s for Nextcloud and long term storage. (Non-backup long term storage)
R610 Google is running Proxmox backup server and will be converted to a TrueNAS scheduled backup server that runs on the weekends
Cisco USC once the Talos cluster is all running on bare metal I plan to create an automation to wake-on-lan the UCS cluster to run compute for deep learning. So eventually this system will be automated wake and shutdown based on the Kubernetes cluster needs.
I plan to replace the Dell servers (besides the google sever this will eventually get co-located) to R740xd’s and R640’s respectively with the R640’s being the Talos Control nodes and the R740xd’s being worker nodes with storage. Currently everything is running a 256GB SSD Boot drive and a 2TB Longhorn SSD for HA deployment on the cluster.
Finally I plan to replace the UPS’s with Eaton 6000 VA for longer backup and the ability to keep a single server on through the outage for HA.
