TLDR AT THE END So as the title goes: I've been wanting to mod Skyrim for a while now but alas I'm a total disaster when it comes to modding and so I was wondering if anyone had some ready-to-go modpack they enjoy which doesn't require me to install the 30000 mods of the more popular options (I know they are there for a reason and they kinda keep everything together and all but a man can hope) since I'd have to download them manually (I'm a cheap bastard I know, I just don't wanna invest in a nexus pro plan without trying out the whole modding thing first)
I'll front this by saying that, if possible, I'd really really prefer NOT to buy the game for a fourth time since it launched (I'm playing on Special Edition an...
TLDR AT THE END So as the title goes: I've been wanting to mod Skyrim for a while now but alas I'm a total disaster when it comes to modding and so I was wondering if anyone had some ready-to-go modpack they enjoy which doesn't require me to install the 30000 mods of the more popular options (I know they are there for a reason and they kinda keep everything together and all but a man can hope) since I'd have to download them manually (I'm a cheap bastard I know, I just don't wanna invest in a nexus pro plan without trying out the whole modding thing first)
I'll front this by saying that, if possible, I'd really really prefer NOT to buy the game for a fourth time since it launched (I'm playing on Special Edition and some of the packs I tried downloading apparently only work with the anniversary upgrade).
Now that that's out of the way, what I was looking for was mostly something that 1) new gen looks but no need for 8k textures, on the contrary I'd love the file size not to be 7 trillion petabytes 2) perk overhauls, I feel like I've used these perks so much over the years that by now I could name them in alphabetical order 3) COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD BEING AN ACTUAL QUEST LINE 4) also tied to WH, I'd love to finally have a proper mage build but as of right now playing mage just feels like playing any other class and also investing 15 minutes and 3 levels into magicka so something more thought out for that would be great and 5) something that makes all the aedra/daedra stuff actually worth, it'd be nice to have a few more nice blessings from completing those quests to turn up the whole "selling my soul to an eldritch being for power" or alternatively "being a devout follower/paladin for this deity" vibe.
These were pretty much my major concerns and what I wanted to put into my game when I tried modding it the first time but clearly something went wrong (and I'm 100% certain it was a fuck up on my end) since I really can't tell what versions to pick, what to look for in terms of compatibility and all that stuff.
TL;DR: Playing on Skyrim Special Edition (no anniversary) and need (a lot of) help with some lighter modding for a fresher RPG experience.
