Passed away suddenly in Toronto on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 75. He is survived by his daughter Mandi-Ann and his son Chris (Stefanie). Proud grandfather of Derek and Sloane. He will be deeply missed by his best friend Kathy Morrison and her children. Predeceased by the mother of his children, Joanne Wheatley.
Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Mike was the son of the late Bessie and the late Bill Wheatley. He was the dear brother of Sharon Fenos (Frank), Mitch Wheatley, and a loving uncle to Marina (Peter), and their children Natalie and Luke.
An avid sportsman, he loved basketball, baseball, and hunting, and truly cherished time spent entertaining his friends. In his retirement, Mike was happiest enjoying the outdoors at the cottage.
